Primer clásico del año 2008, jugado el 30 de abril. Muy buen ambiente en las tribunas del Estadio Nacional de Lima para este partido que había generado mucha espectativa.

Universitario se adelantó en el marcador por medio de un tiro libre ejecutado por Donny Neyra (la barrera aliancista se abrió, por cierto). En el minuto 82 alianza encuentra un penal que fue convertido en gol por el arquero bologna.

Pero, el que salió triunfante fue Universitario de Deportes tras el tanto marcado en el minuto 89 por Roberto "Malingas" Jiménez, tras un buen contagolpe que dejó sin respuesta a la defensa victoriana.

Universitario de Deportes suma 26 puntos y es el único puntero del Torneo Apertura 2008 "Copa Cablemágico".
