E-flite has released a new PT-17 ARF that makes it possible for everyone to assemble and fly a very scale-like Stearman. Wing alignment and transportation has been simplified to eliminate the difficulties associated with more conventional assemblies. A simple bracket and two screws make wing assembly and removal simple. The built up balsa/ply construction with fuselage stringers maintains that full-scale realism reminiscent of aircraft in that era while also keeping the total weight to a minimum. The result is an excellent flying RC model capable of all the aerobatics the real one could do. It is not a primary trainer for RC but it is not difficult to fly due to the features incorporated in this E-flite design. This one is designed to be powered with a 15 size brushless electric motor so operation is equally easy.
