1001 Songs in 1001 Days?

My aim here is to share my love of folk music. My posts include original as well as traditional songs and covers of my favourite singer song-writers, such as Bob Dylan, Woody Guthrie and Eric Bogle.

I have been singing folk songs for over 40 years, and play guitar (badly) and fiddle (even more badly).

I have produced 4 CDs:
Axis of Evil and other True Stories
Laws of Chance
Gospel Ship
Pigs Might Fly and other Politically Incorrect Ballads

I hope you enjoy my songs. All comments are appreciated, including constructive criticism. However, I may delete threats, and language that I consider unsuitable for any young people watching this channel.

I am married with two adult sons and two grandsons, one from each son.

Woody Guthrie

One of the most important singers who carried on the folk tradition. In particular he was the inspiration for Bob Dylan. I will put my covers of his work in this playlist - just the songs he is believed to have written. Many of the songs he sang were traditional.
