I guess I don't see how Palin resigning as gov. of Alaska means Republicans are finished. Quite the opposite. This frees Palin up to do speaking engagements and help conservative contenders raise money for the 2010 races. She can do that without having the biased media repeatedly say she is not paying attention to her state enough in any effort to try and silence her.

As much as liberals hate her, conservatives love her and know that having her speak on their behalf will help raise LOTS of money. She has and will play a key part in inspiring conservatives. For that reason, liberals should be afraid she quit as gov of AK, but of course, they'll just keep saying conservatism is dead at a time that more conservatives are speaking up and uniting than have at any other point in the last few decades.

Socialism is failing the US and many other countries. Republicans and conservatism is alive and well.
