Zionism is a defeatist ideology. Do you know why? Because it encourages its followers to give up on humanity, to run away from racism and violence and wall themselves off in palestine while afflicting the palestinians with the same sort of oppression that jews have suffered down through history. If you look at the entire sweep of history, you can find so many examples of oppression and violence it will make your head spin. Many ethnic groups have faced pogroms and discrimination, and it's a sad fact of life that humans can be intolerant, they can fall quite easily into hatred and violence, but that doesn't mean we should accept it and give up. We can only overcome racism by facing it head on, we can only fight it by reaching out to each other and promoting mutual understanding. You can't give up on humanity and run away, your problems will only follow you.

Can you tell me who wrote "Open Letter to the World?" I was told that it was written by Meir Kahana.

I am sorry for whatever my ancestors may have done in the past.

I enjoyed Open Letter to the World, but I hope Jews understand that whatever wrongs some Christians did in the past, it was against the Christian faith. Rabbi Kahane seems to have been a great man.
