Cavite Fiestas in America and Philippines.

"Karakol" or "Caracol" is a ritual/tradition done mostly during the Bisperas or the eve of the fiesta. The devotees dance the Patron at the main streets of the Town or Parish. Almost all parishes in Cavite done it. Some have Karakol sa Tubig or Fluvial Procession when they dance the Patron Saint at sea by large boats. Mostly they done this because the Patron was found or from sea. For example, the icon painting of the Soledad de Porta Vaga in Cavite City was found floating the Cañacao Bay in the 1600's after an apparition to a Spanish Sentinel. Caracol, in Spanish is snail.
