Hallo and welcome to Pen's channel.
I thought it was time I introduced myself.
I'm a Londoner who skated for 18 years (until my knees started to protest).
I came to skating via ballet, and, as you might have guessed, am a great fan of the work of John Curry. I first saw John on TV in the early 1970s, doing a gala piece with an Eastern theme. The way he used his choreography and costume to reflect the music appealed to me and I started to look out for him after that.
I enjoy skating (and any form of movement) for what it can express. Someone who can use movement and music to convey something to the audience impresses me more than being able to jump a bit higher or a few more turns.
Through Youtube I have already been able to make contact with other fans of John's, and would love to hear from any others as well.
I'm a new kid on this block, but hope to be able to post some pieces for others to share and hopefully enjoy.

I've no idea what show this came from, or when (mid 1980s?) but here are Chris Gable and Marti Webb doing their answer to Fred & Ginger. Enjoy!
