hmmmm.... every school is different, but in 'core' terms MSE is somewhere between chemistry and physics, but more focused on the properties, structure, and processing of metals. Being that its in the UK, I'd say that as an MSE you get to choose what class of materials you'd like to focus on... thats typically the way it works overseas. Hope this helps!
