Thanks for all great information on Smith and the Ricardian paradigm. I was not aware that Britain pushed Smith's theory of absolute advantage merely to expand and legitimize their imperial and hegemonic agenda. Though I must say, I'm pretty happy they did; it blew up in their faces.
