The first round of one of my fights, way back in 1999. I ended up winning in my category but didn't really enjoy fighting under those rules. Without punching the face, it felt uncomfortable and threw my timing off: Every time I could have struck him in the head, I had to stop myself. So I mostly stuck to kicking the guy, which was allowed.
Looking back on it now, I mostly see how sloppy I was and everything I did wrong. Still, that's the way it came out back then so there you go. We can all only keep on training and try to improve our skills. (less info)
