A tumblewing walkalong glider is flown by controllable slope soaring. The tumblewing is not trimmed and flies to the left. The controllable slope (a large sheet of cardboard) is positioned to steer the tumblewing to fly straight. The Jag Wing Derivative Paper Airplane Designed by Slater Harrison is flown using hands only. This form of soaring is called Controllable Slope Soaring or walkalong gliding. The Jag Wing is made from phonebook paper. The forward boom ballast is made from a sliver of a plastic straw. The flight characteristics are curious, with little change in heading when flown straight and level but a relatively large heading change with minimal roll control input.

Slater Harrison introduces his latest design from phone book paper, straw sliver and transparent tape. This design can be flown using only hands as demonstrated by Slater in this video. The glider design was inspired by Michael Thompson's jagwing designs and plans can be found here: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showpo... For more information on Controllable Slope Soaring and walkalong glider designs see: http://sites.google.com/site/controll...
This video was filmed during the 3rd Intergenerational Walkalong Glider Conference at the Jersey Shores School in Jersey Shores PA.
