XYL (real name: Jesse Day) is a Canadian artist with a unique style that fuses Western Hip-Hop with Asian Dance Pop, a formula that ignites the dance floor and creates a truly multi-cultural party atmosphere. Drawing inspiration from the hottest Electro Pop music from China, Korea and Japan, XYL is creating a new world sound that brings East and West together in perfect musical harmony.

XYL released his debut EP, Make Way, in 2007 and has since been performing and promoting his music in China. Since landing in Beijing in 2008, he has performed all over the country including a Beijing concert with Korean mega-star and DJ, 류승범. In addition, he has performed live on the CCTV-Music program 全国优秀流行歌曲创作大赛, toured China as a model, performer and brand ambassador for European clothing label Strellson and has been featured several times on 旅游卫视(Travel Channel) as a host of the 行者program and as the subject of his own 2-part television special. Back in Canada, he performed alongside famous Canadian MCs Moka Only and Josh Martinez.

XYL raps fluently in Korean and a video of him performing a Korean Hip-Hop song was featured as a BEST video on Naver with over 56,000 views. He has also recorded his own Korean single Dancefloor in 2008.

XYL은 한국어로 유창하게 랩 하는 것이 가능하고 에픽하이의 노래를 부른 동영상은 56,000명의 네티즌의 투표로 네이버의 베스트동영상으로 선정되었다. 또한2008년 그의 한국 싱글 앨범 Dancefloor를 발매했다.
