Dear All,
Hi! I'm a fourth-year medical student and every week, I'm learning exciting and critical topics on medicine. But too often, the things I'm learning about never reach the public.

I wanted to try an experiment -- sharing health information on Youtube. My goal's to start conversations about issues that newspapers don't cover often but that may be relevant to your health and my health.

I hope this experiment works -- and if it fails, I hope someone sees these videos, says, "hmmm, these are bad videos, but I love the idea," and decides to go for it.

UPDATES: I'm very sorry about being late with e-mail responses (I was away in May for medicine subinternship, August for surgery subinternship)

A Case of Mistaken Identity:
On a random note, I noticed that there are a few people with the screen name "USMedstudent&quo t; out there. I only use "usmedstudent&quo t; for Youtube, not for anything else. Also, my posts are not related to politics or the Arab-Israeli conflict, so please don't get me confused with someone else. Thank you!

Lastly, I wanted to point out something important: that the opinions expressed in this channel are not necessarily those of Harvard Medical School, its affiliated institutions, or Harvard University. Also, I'm just a medical student, so my posts are hopefully conversation starters, but only conversation starters -- not medical advice. If my posts intrigue you, please read more about the topic and discuss about it with your doctor. I'd be happy to send you the information in the journal articles I talk about. Best wishes!

Thanks for your fish oil video. I think the other serious issue is that alot of the foods we eat counteract the omega 3, like cooking oils, apart from canola and olive oil, goose fat, lard. Junk foods (McDonalds) are loaded with Omega 6. Mores crips say reduced saturated fats which are good in moderation in exchange for the dangerous omega 6 (sunflower oil, veg oil added to mccoys crips, reduced saturated fats which help omega 3 get in, within moderation). Nuts and seeds (apart from walnuts/macadiums/flax) are loaded with Omega 6. Omega 6 encourages the proliferation of cancer cells, encourages fungal growth and high estrogen. So the issue to a diet containing 20:1 (Omega 6 to Omega 3) which should be a real concern. Diet that lacks magnesium (vegetables) also effects the enzymes to handle omega 3 (conversions from ALA to DHA/EPA get effected. So understanding the inter-relationship with omega 3 is critical, in order that omega 3 benefits as much as it is capable of doing.

Understand: Our hydrogen and oxygen cells form a molecule which is orbited 360 degrees by an "electron" whose orbital pattern is 180 degrees to the "south". When we drink fluids which are "forced-through" metal piping in their processing it spins the "electron" to the "north" thus disabling our "7 year cellular rebuild cycle". By "south-spinning" you can actually recover from this inadvertent mistake and go on to live for an unbelievable length of time. Now watch: A New Cure for Cancer and everything else.
