Thank you for creating this wonderful Tamasaburo site. I'm trying to find his early (1979) fantasy film "Yasha ga ike" (Demon Pond) on line to download. Can you help? Domo arigato gozaimasu.

thank you for sharing this culture and art to everyone. this is simply beautiful and magical.

Question: the English narration. is that an extra anomaly for the play so that we would understand what is happening or is there an original Japanese narration during the performance. and what about the singing in the background? can you tell me its relevance in the play? like how does it contribute to the play itself? i am an aspiring writer and i like to learn more about this art and its essence so i may be able to recreate something like this in my writing...thank you

30AUG09 My thanks to you, tiffenakou, for presenting these videos so more people can watch, learn, and enjoy a master of his craft. It's not easy to reach the level Tamasaburo has reached after years of training.
Since I was once a student of Kabuki style dances, I know what it takes to properly interpret both roles
of women and men. I regarded it as a chalange and make great progress. It takes more than just talent alone but more than enything, it takes patience and stick with it attitude. In the end it will pay off and give so
many people a new enjoyment. Both roles of men and women take on a different appraoch to perform so
that it looks authentic and that in one case you depic a warriou and in another a gheisure: A chalange indeed.
But. as I said patience will give great rewards in the end.
1001 thanks for these videos - keep up the good work.
