Nashville independent recording artists The Redding Brothers are an acoustically-driven alternative rock trio comprised of three brothers, Micah, Josiah and Gabriel Redding.

The band had its beginnings in early 2003 in their Seattle basement. They stuffed tshirts and blankets in the cracks in the walls, propped a mattress up against the door to soundproof the room, and began recording. Their sessions there resulted in their first EP, entitled "Rough Draft". It was an instant success, and has sold out many times since.

In 2004, the band moved back to their hometown of Charleston WV. After building a strong local following the Redding Brothers began touring Ohio, Kentucky and Pennsylvania, as well as going on jaunts as far-reaching as Tulsa, Oklahoma. The band followed their first hit with a second EP and preview of their upcoming album: "Sneak Peek".

The Redding Brothers have been described as a band for all other bands. Not motivated to pursue a major label record deal, but with the desire to control their own fates and do what they love the most, the Redding Brothers privately sponsor and promote Brick & Stone Showcases in local cities, helping promising smaller acts get a foothold and begin their own careers.

The band's sound is a modern energetic groove deep-rooted in rock & roll tradition. The brothers grew up listening to acts like the Beatles, Buddy Holly, and Johnny Cash, but they mix what they've gained from those sounds with the more modern sounds of Barenaked Ladies, Matchbox Twenty, Dave Matthews Band, and R.E.M.

The Redding Brothers' lyrics have been the topic of much debate and controversy, because of their often obscure philosophical nature. Songs like "Die" and "Rosebud" are some examples of much-discussed lyrics.

In mid-2005 the band relocated their headquarters to Nashville, TN and made an astonishing move by founding their own label, Brick & Stone Records, and releasing their first full-length album "Wisdom From The Green Shag Carpet". While pursuing college radio play, the Redding Brothers have also recently secured global CD distribution for their music, which is now available to all major retailers as well as online download sites like iTunes and Napster.

An exceptional live band, the Redding Brothers have tirelessly toured non-stop for almost 2 straight years, and have become a favorite show in cities across the U.S.
