I am a senior in high school who, obviously, supported Hunter in his bid for the 2008 Republican Nomination. But seeing that he lost, I am discouraged, yes. But I am not discouraged in my principles. Conservative principles trump my loyalty to any party or to any candidate. I will follow those principles first, and not let any party come before them. And that is what I am asking you to do today. Support a candidate for president (or any office) based on issues and principles, not on what someone else tells you or on the candidate's party. If Americans would do that and conservatives would be conservative FIRST, our country would be infinitely better than what it is now. We would have an honest dialogue about issues and the things that matter. Things would get done and we would know where our legislators stand. I hope that you will join be in supporting conservative principles and the candidates/officials of either party which hold them.
