MID-SEASON PREMIERE PLOT SYNOPSIS:
Heroes returns with a special two-hour episode - The search for answers intensifies as final respects are paid to a fallen hero. As Claire becomes immersed into the world of the Carnival, she becomes increasingly suspicious of Samuel's motives. Hiro is on a mission to rescue one of his own, but has difficulty communicating his intentions to Ando. Samuel has his sight set on Emma and her ability to complete his master plan. Meanwhile, Sylar returns to the Carnival in search of answers and Peter continues to struggle with the loss of his brother. Elsewhere, Noah sets his plan in motion to take down the carnival.

PLOT SYNOPSIS:
Lester Burnham is a man in his mid-40s going through an intense midlife crisis - he has grown cynical and is convinced that he has no reason to go on. Lester's relationship with his wife Carolyn is not a warm one - while on the surface Carolyn strives to present the image that she is in full control of her life, inside she feels empty and desperate. Their teenage daughter Jane is constantly depressed, lacking in self-esteem, and convinced that she's unattractive. Her problems aren't made better by her best friend Angela, an attractive aspiring model who believes that that alone makes her existence worthwhile. Jane isn't the only one aware of Angela's beauty: Lester has developed an uncontrollable lust for her, and she becomes part of his drastic plan to change his body and lifestyle. Meanwhile, next door, Colonel Fitts has spent a lifetime in the Marine Corps and can understand and tolerate no other way of life, which makes life difficult for his son Ricky, an aspiring filmmaker and part-time drug dealer who is obsessed with beauty, wherever and whatever it may be.
