Great posts! I've only been to Franklin once about 15 years ago but hope to get back at some point. My Great Grandfather's regiment (13th Tennessee Infantry) and his brothers (Forrest Cavalry...3rd I beleive) were both there in the thick of things.  My grammar school in Memphis was named after Ge, George Washington Gordon who led the 13th there and was captured.
