Hey, I really enjoyed fun home (currently working on dykes to watch out for), and thanks for inspiring me to draw again.

Hi Alison,

I just wanted to let you know that I am writing my last college paper ever on Fun Home, and I really appreciate all you have done with it. I would love to be able to get your input on some questions I have, but I know you are probably really busy. In the off chance...let me know!

Family Fun House was amazing - when I got it, I sat down and read it 5 times in a row - it was funny to me that sense of connection I felt to your wanting a french cuff shirt and cufflinks - because I was desperate for them too - I think it was after seeing a mid 1970's Time magazine cover of a young girl in a business suit, I was desperate to wear ties and cufflinks - my parents let me - I don't remember being teased about it in school - but in high school and the advent of Duran Duran, all the girls wore Fedoras and ties so I stopped.

I like your vids. A lot of them remind me of life around my house. I live near the woods and see a lot of nature too. (plus we have cat--astrophes in our house too).

If you have a camera with a timelapse, I think it'd be neat to see a timelapse of work on a comic strip. Even better, but more trouble for you, a series of shots of the comic strip, you not in it, as the comic gets completed. Just a thought, I know you're busy. (BTW, the image is of Charlie Chaplin, not me.)
