About Me:
Turkic
Mongolic
Manchurian Tungusic
Korean
Japonic
Turkic is the most western branch. They are also the most diserve branch and the largest branch with over 165 million speakers. their for five main branches in Turkic and they include the following: Oghuz , Kipchak, Karluk (Uyghuric), Siberian, and Chuvash.
Mongolic includes the Mongol peoples such as Mongolians, Kalmyk and Buryats. They mostly live in the heart of Altaic culture (Mongolia, Siberia).
Manchurian Tungusic is the North Eastern Altaic branch. This branch is endangered. :(
Korean branch only has one language, Korean.
Japonic includes Japanese and Okinawan.
Now I know all scholars have not agreed on Korean and Japanese being Altaic speakers but I believe they are so they are included. Some think they are Altaic and some think language isolated with Altaic infulances. There are many small links of Altaic infulances in both Korean and Japanese.
-Both Japanese and Korean have SOV (Subject Object Verb) word order.
-Both Japanese and Korean are agglutinating languages.
-Korean has vowel harmony and it is possible anceint Japanese did too.
Note: All my videos are for educational reasons. All the photos that I do not own I am using under fair use.

About the Altaic language family. What are the Altaic speaking peoples? The ethnics that belong to the Altaic language family spread from East to West. They are a melting pot of faces, history, and cultures. Their looks differ, depending on where they live. The more west you go the more Eurasian they look and the more east you go the more Siberian Asian they look. The proto Altaic are believed to be mostly Northern Siberian Asian and sometimes Eurasian. Altaic peoples are thought to have their origins in Siberia and Central Asia by the Altai Mountains. As the migration of Altaic people started, one group started migrating towards Europe, Russia, and the Middle East while another the group migrated towards Siberia, Northern China (Manchuria), the Korean Peninsula, and finally the islands of Japan. What about the Altaic languages?About 250 million people speak the Altaic languages. The word order of the Altaic languages is different from Indo-European (Like English) languages. The word order is SOV (subject, object, verb). Altaic languages are agglutinating language meaning they have many suffixes that are put on one after the other to make many complex ideas. Also alot of Altaic languages, like Turkish have vowel harmony and this means that the vowels are grouped into sets. They have a lack of gender words (He, She). Most native words in Altaic languages will never start with the letter L or R.
