Shadow hardly remembers meeting his family or knowing any family members at all. All he knows is that he has been alone most of his life, being in the Nakama no Kurai only makes his lonliness worse. He carries a grudge against the Shinzui clan, his reasons unknown, even he doesn't know why. Shadow is mostly cold towards people he first meets, especially ones from the Shinzui clan, especially other Nakama no Kurai clan members. But that was before he saw 'her'. His heart skips beats and he could feel his face warm up just from the sight of her. Shinzui Luna. But his social status wasn't really high and it made things worse when he heard Luna had her sights on someone else. This broke his heart, but even so, he's trying to confess his love to her.

Luna was born partially blind and the older she gets, the more her eyesight disappears. Even so, she uses her chakra to strengthen her senses and defense, which makes sense since she's in the Nakama no Shitai. She's really sensitive, crying at a slightly insult, the reason is that her parents always insulted her, telling her that she was weak. This made her will to get stronger. She has a crush on a Satsujin, which she keeps to herself, knowing the law of her clan.
