Have you worked the 1st Prelude thoroughly ? If yes, you will find that it more or less commands the interpretation of the other preludes and even of the Brazilian Suite. I would advise you to play ALL the glissandos (of course you have to eliminate squeaking) otherwise the performance becomes quite tame, subdued. Especially when the melody is "sung" by the base (1st, 4th middle section, 5th section B), you could imagine it being played by a cello, and try to do it that way. Hopefully (when I have time to record) I'll post the VLobos Preludes and Suite. Not that I pretend to be "excellent", but there are a few "tips" that can be useful for interpretation. Carry on the good work.

Very nice work! I love this music by Brouwer and Villa-Lobos though I never managed to play it very well. Your videos make me want to relearn these pieces. - Tobasi
