Born in Milan, he began his studying the guitar with his father, and then attended the Conservatory "Giuseppe Verdi" in Milan, where he took his diploma with the highest marks and honours. He then went on for advanced studies with David Russell.
He has won prizes in national and international competitions, both as a soloist as well as in duos with the flautist Gaia Scabbia, with whom he has recorded a Cd of the works of Anton Diabelli for flute and guitar for the record company AGORA'.
As soloist, he has recorded "Le Rossiniane" and "Le ore di Apollo" for ARKADIA and AGORA'. Recently, he has published four Cds for the label SINFONICA; three included in collections of contemporary music" Quattro studi da concerto" (Four Concert Studies) by Livio Torresan, "Dodici studi" (Twelve Etudes) by Eligio Bratus, "Dodici studi" (Twelve Etudes) by Giuliano Manzi and another with the arrangement of the "Fugue BWV 1000" by Johann Sebastian Bach.
Besides his normal concert routine, he is also an editorial consultant for Sinfonica musical editions, especially for contemporary music and today's music education needs. He has personally edited the publication of five Anthologies of contemporary music for guitar, the critical revision of the "Venticinque studi melodici progressivi op. 60" (Twenty-five progressive melodic études op. 60) by Matteo Carcassi and "Venti studi" (Twenty études) by Fernando Sor. He is the author of a successful method for beginners entitled "A scuola con la chitarra" (At school with the guitar).
He is an instructor at the annual courses of the guitar academy GIULIO REGONDI in Milan and the Conservatory LUCA MARENZIO in Brescia (Darfo Boario Terme branch). He holds master classes every two years at the "Federal University of Santa Maria in Brasil".
