Banda faz sucesso com estilo musical único, que faz uma releitura da música sertaneja, numa visão moderna, porém, sem perder suas características originais.

Formada por jovens artistas de altíssimo nível técnico, a
BARRA DA SAIA é a primeira banda brasileira essencialmente feminina no segmento que elas mesmas denominam de Roça´n Roll: a mistura da música raiz e caipira, com pitadas do country e do rock´n roll. Na estrada desde 1998, com shows por todo o Brasil, lançaram seu primeiro CD em 2003, emplacando a música Seu DJ entre as 10 mais da Terra FM durante um ano. Em 2003 e 2004, participaram da turnê Te Amo Demais do cantor Leonardo, tocando e cantando com ele o momento raiz, abrindo shows nas maiores casas de espetáculo
do país, como Olympia (S.Paulo) e Canecão (Rio de Janeiro).
Em 2006 lançaram seu segundo CD/DVD intitulado Roça´n Roll escolhido como Melhor CD Independente de 2006 no segmento sertanejo
e em 2007 foi indicado ao Grammy Latino na
categoria de Melhor CD de Música Regional.
Mas a história da BARRA DA SAIA não começa aí...Suas integrantes - Fernanda Kostchak (violino), Adriana Sanchez (voz, acordeon e teclado), Adriana Farias (voz, viola e violão) e Julia Lage (vocal e contrabaixo) - têm em seus currículos trabalhos com artistas, bandas e orquestras dos mais variados segmentos, o que sem dúvida foi o fator fundamental para a criação, com características de inovação, do seu som único e moderno.

Com uma agenda repleta de shows, a BARRA DA SAIA vive um dos melhores momentos de sua carreira.

Inicia o ano de 2009 com muitas novidades.
Convidada para representar o Brasil na 19ª Fiesta Nacional Del Chamame
e 5ª Fiesta Del Mercosul, a BARRA DA SAIA desembarcou dia 09 de janeiro
em Corrientes na Argentina, onde foi aplaudida de pé pelo público.
Dia 27 de janeiro gravou ao vivo em São Paulo seu 2º DVD,comemorando 11 anos de carreira , com a participação de Sergio Reis, As Galvão, Pepeu Gomes, Amon Lima, Os Favoritos da Catira e Zeca Baleiro.
Toda a renda do DVD será em prol do
Hospital de Cancêr de Barretos.

Destaque para um dos grandes diferenciais da banda, que faz uma fusão de timbres e estilos juntando

Band achieves success with sole musical style, that executes rereading of country music, with a modern aim but maintaining the pure original characteristics, creating at the meantime
a joy new style: Roça´n Roll.

Formed by young skilled and top level musicians, BARRA DA SAIA is the first genuine Brazilian female band into the field to play the kind of music named by them like Roça'n Roll: a smart mix of Brazilian regional music style with soft approaches to country, folk and rock.

On the road since 1998, performing shows on the whole Brazil, launched its first album in 2004, standing up the song "Seu DJ".

In 2003 and 2004 participated of Leonardo singer tour "Te Amo demais", playing and singing with him sets of Roots music, doing to him also opening shows at the major brazilian Showplaces like Olympia (S.P.) and Canecão (Rio de Janeiro).
In 2006 year BARRA DA SAIA released the 2nd. album entitled Roça 'n Roll attaching a Documentary DVD, showing backstage moments, video clips and interviews, which set received also the National Award of Best Independent 2006 album and was by Latin Grammy nominated like the Best Brazilian Roots.

Certainly BARRA DA SAIA history doesnt start overthere as its members Fernanda Kostchak (violin), Adriana Sanchez (singer, accordion and keyboards), Adriana Farias (singer, guitar and yahoo guitar) and Julia Lage (back singer and bass) have work background with the most important and varied groups, artists, bands and orchestras, which means definitely fundamental bases for its creation, with innovation characteristics of its modern and unique musical sound and style.

With fulfilled agenda of shows BARRA DA SAIA lives one of the
best instants of its career.

At the beginning of January 2009, band represented Brazil at the 19ª Fiesta Nacional Del Chamamé and 5ª Fiesta Del Mercosur Del Chamamé, in Corrientes, Argentina, where band was warm acclaimed by local audience.

To celebrate the 11th anniversary, BARRA DA SAIA prepares launching of its new DVD at the end of January 2009, of live performance with top guests participation like Pepeu Gomes, Zeca Baleiro, Sergio Reis, As Galvão,
Favoritos da Catira e Amon Ra Lima.

All income funds from this DVD will be donated to the
Hospital de Câncer de Barretos.
