This channel is dedicated to the great artists that have and always will be my inspiration. Among them you will find legendary singers such as Jussi Björling, Lawrence Tibbett, Rosa Ponselle, Leonard Warren, George London, Cesare Siepi, Eleanor Steber and Lauritz Melchior.
Additionally you can hear some friends of mine, including Philip Zawisza, Fred Gates, Janice Dixon and my brother-in-law Scott MacAllister.
You can also listen to my father and mentor Michael Davidson, who is the greatest dad a son could ask for. He first introduced me to classical music and taught me through his example to love and respect this great artform whom we serve.
I am currently pursuing my BM in vocal performance at the Mozarteum in Salzburg.

I have gotten to know many new (at least they were new to me...) singers and i have spent many happy hours listening to Tibbett, Stracciari and the likes. To return the favour: listen to Michele Kalmandi, a baritone that recommended to me by a Swedish friend of mine. Hope you like it!
	mozzrt (3 months ago) Are you sure that Sills are so goodnatured? Gedda knew her well and although he admitted that she was great fun to work with, she was hard-as-nails when it came to her career. She demanded that her name should be placed above everyone elses, and with big letters, while her co-stars - no matter how big roles they sang - should have their names in small letters.

	operalament (3 months ago) primo baritono, i just listened to what i understand to be a recording of your father. i must tell you that my heart breaks a little to hear him. my father was in singer of incredible talent, he studied under frank la forge and of course introduced me to opera. i have a recording of him from around 1932, and i am going to attempt to send it to you. i am however a bit of a moron when it comes to these technical things. if i am successful, i would love to hear from you, not so much to hear accolaides cast upon my father, but simply to hear from a man whose son remembers with pride and nastalgia the greatness of his father. with kindest regards, mike
	operalament (3 months ago) hello sir . by now you are aware of the fact that i believe tibbett is the greatest bariton the world has ever known. however i just came upon a recording of silveri singing that long phrase in the prologue from pagliaci in on breath and was rather suprised. im sure you are familiar with it , but in case you have not seen it, you might find it interesting. i do not suggest however that he is in tibbetts league, for of course no one is - regards, mike
	BariMiersma (4 months ago) I was surprised to find any Igor Gorin on Youtube. Thanks for putting the effort to keep his artistry alive. I'm a third generation Gorin student (Igor was my teacher's teacher at ASU) and learn so much when listening to his recordings.
