Cop Sent to Prison For Raping, Using Minors for Sex, Child Porn, & Other Sex Crimes

    by neal rodriguez 8,711 views

In California, a former police officer is going to prison for molesting underage girls and raping an 18 year old woman while he worked for the Long Beach Police Department. The Los Angeles District Attorney's office reports that, 40-year-old, Noe Yanez, was sentenced to 11 years and eight months in a state prison pleading guilty to 6 counts of sex-related crimes.

"Adomian said Yanez pleaded guilty to one count each of forcible rape, meeting a minor for lewd purposes, using a minor for sex acts, possession of child pornography and two counts of false imprisonment by fraud of deceit. Five victims were involved."

The LA District Attorney's Office says that in May of 2012, Mr. Yanez was originally charged with 39 sex crimes involving 13 victims.

"Yanez is charged with 10 counts of child molesting; eight counts of contact with minor for sexual offense; seven counts of false imprisonment by violence; and four counts each of meeting a minor for lewd purposes; and arranging meeting a minor for lewd purposes. He also faces one count each of possession of matter depicting a minor engaging in sexual conduct; sale of alcohol beverage to a minor; sexual penetration by a foreign object; oral copulation of a person under 18; unlawful sexual intercourse; and using a minor for sex acts."

Thirty-three of those charges were dropped because Mr. Yanez plead guilty to 6 of those charges. Mr. Yanez had been with the Long Beach Police Department for nine years. He was fired in June 2012.

Sen. Elizabeth Warren Presses Fed Chair Ben Bernanke on "Too Big to Fail"

Senator Grills Bernanke on Bank Corruption

    by neal rodriguez 54,373 views

Yesterday, during a Senate Banking Committee hearing Senator Elizabeth Warren got the Chairman of the Federal Reserve, Ben Bernanke, to agree that in the process of getting rid of Too Big to Fail, Big Banks continue to be beneficiaries of a federal subsidy that makes them more likely to get bailed out by the federal government. Economists at the IMF found the federal subsidy to be as high as $83 billion. It allows big banks to take out loans at cheaper rates than smaller banks. This helps Big Banks acquire more customers; thus making them bigger and more likely recipients of a federal bailout to avert collapse of the financial system.

Dallas Federal Reserve President Admits U.S. Central Bank Artificially Inflates Stock Market Gains

    by neal rodriguez 305 views

On Feb. 21, 2013, the president of the Dallas Federal Reserve, Richard Fisher, said that the U.S. Central Bank artificially manipulated the recent gains in the stock market. Mr. Fisher in an interview said, "The Fed has artificially sustained markets." The Federal Reserve has essentially been doing a few things to stimulate the economy. It has been aggressively lowering interest rates, and it's been buying $85 billion in Treasuries and mortgage-backed securities each month to increase borrowing activity. By purchasing these assets, the Fed has kept bond yields down, helped drop the unemployment rate, helped the housing market recover, and artificially boosted stock market gains. Mr. Fisher told Reuters that the Fed may begin to reduce the amount of bonds and securities it purchases if the employment rate continues to improve this year.

"I'm uncomfortable as a former market operator having what is essentially an artificial market that has been engineered by the central bank," Mr. Richard told Reuters. "It's one thing to try to ignite growth, but if you are in a situation where you have to keep doing this, it becomes a distortion."

Since March of 2009, a little after the 2008 financial collapse to which the Fed responded with this influx of cash into the financial markets, the S&P 500 has risen 125 percent. Since January of 2009 the stock market has risen at an annual rate of 16.4 percent.

Federal Court Rules CNET Can Keep Distributing File-Sharing Software

    by neal rodriguez 80 views

In November of 2011, the "Justice for Artists Coalition," and the founder of video streaming site, FilmOn, Alki David, filed a federal lawsuit to stop CBS-owned CNET from distributing file-sharing software like Limewire and Kazaa. The "Justice for Artists Coalition" includes artists such as Doug E. Fresh, Slick Rick, and H-Town. The group argues that the CNET domain, Download.com, encouraged people to infringe copyrights by allowing them to download file-sharing software on their web pages. On Tuesday, a California federal court ruled that CNET can continue to distribute BitTorrent clients and other types of file-sharing software on its web properties. District Court Judge Dale Fisher wrote that although the use of file-sharing software to infringe on copyrights is widely known, there is no clear evidence that shows CNET promoted and fostered copyright infringement simply by linking to these programs.

U.S. Drones Can Get Hijacked and the Government Can't Stop it

    by neal rodriguez 236 views

    Summary:

In June 2012, a Texas College professor hijacked the same drones that fly over our national airspace and neither the FAA, NASA, or the GAO can stop it.

In June of 2012, a University of Texas professor and his students took control of a U.S. drone with less than $1,000 in equipment in the presence of the Department of Homeland Security. The GPS signals used to fly these drones are not encrypted and can be faked, or "spoofed;" thus allowing this group to commandeer the drone into a dive. This $80k drone uses the same GPS used by government operators flying drones in state and local law enforcement agencies nationwide. By law, the FAA has to develop a plan to use drones in our national airspace by 2015. Today at a hearing held by the House Science, Space, and Technology subcommitee on Oversight regulating the use of drones in U.S. airspace, neither directors from the FAA, NASA, or GAO said they had a way to stop hijacking of civilian drones.

Minimum Wage Hike Won't Hurt Unemployment Rate - $5.5 Billion Added Last Increase

    by neal rodriguez 74 views

In his recent State of the Union - #SOTU - Address, President Barack Obama called to increase the federal minimum wage to $9 an hour. The Center for Economic and Policy Research found that an increase of the federal minimum wage would have little to no effect on the unemployment rate. In fact, the Federal Minimum Wage increase to $7.25 an hour in 2009, added $5.5 billion in consumer spending, according to a paper released by economists at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago. If the minimum wage would have been increased to $9.50 in 2011, as Democratic candidate Obama promised during his first presidential campaign, roughly, $60 billion would have been added to consumer spending over two years.

The Real 2012 Person of the Year is Videographer Who Taped Romney Dissing "47 Percent"

    by neal rodriguez 158,549 views

On Thursday, May 17, 2012, Republican presidential candidate, Mitt Romney told a group of 150 wealthy donors that nearly half of the American electorate didn't matter to him. According to Mr. Romney, the "47 percent" of the country who would vote for President Barack Obama only wanted to depend on the federal government for food, healthcare, and housing. James Carter IV, President Jimmy Carter's grandson found leaked video of the private fundraiser where Mr. Romney made these remarks on YouTube. Upon approval from the YouTube account holder, he retrieved the whole video, then he gave it to David Corn of MotherJones.com

Reagan Slams Low Taxes for Wealthy; He Raised Taxes 11 Times

    by neal rodriguez 97,864 views

During a speech in 1985, President Ronald Reagan said that a man who made a six figure income wanted to testify before congress to explain why he thought "paying a smaller tax" than his secretary was wrong. in 2011, President Barack Obama made the same argument about Warren Buffett's secretary.

"Just a few moments ago, I told some people inside the building here of a letter that I just received the day before yesterday. It's a letter from a man out here in the country, an executive who's earning in six figures -- well above $100,000 a year. He wrote me in support of the tax plan because he said, ``I am legally able to take advantage of the present tax code -- nothing dishonest, doing what the law prescribes -- and wind up paying a smaller salary than my secretary gets -- or I mean, paying a smaller -- I'm sorry, paying a smaller tax than my secretary pays.'' And he wrote me the letter to tell me he'd like to come to Washington and testify before Congress as to how that's possible for him to do and why it is wrong."

The same year, 1985, President Reagan delivered another speech further expounding on the effects of loopholes that allowed the wealthy to pay little to no taxes.

    President Reagan:
"We're going to close the unproductive tax loopholes that have allowed some of the truly wealthy to avoid paying their fair share. In theory, some of those loopholes were understandable, but in practice they sometimes made it possible for millionaires to pay nothing, while a bus driver was paying 10 percent of his salary, and that's crazy. It's time we stopped it."

36 Pull Ups - Dead Hang

    by neal rodriguez 4,357 views

http://alobravo.com About 8 years ago I started boxing in a local gym in Florida. I competed for the Contender TV series, but, although I got into an all out slug fest with the guy against whom I was sparring during the audition, I was too sloppy in comparison to the more formally trained amateur and professional boxers that made the cut.

I moved back to Queens, New York, and a stomach issue that had been plaguing me for a few years with lactose intolerance, diarrhea, and stomach pains had me seek alternative therapy. Long story short, I got a colonic performed and cleaned up my diet. I stopped eating processed foods and sugar. I corrected my stomach issues, so I increased the impact of my workout regimen. I ran 400 meter sprints, in addition I ran about 20 miles a week at a slower pace, I did pull ups, military abdominal exercises, and a long list of other calisthenics performed in a circuit (with little rest in between each set).

To this day, I still workout outdoors in rain, sleet, or snow. I can comfortably work out in 20 degree weather with a t-shirt. My only weakness is my hands, so I wear gloves when I run. However, I have to press my palms against the metal bar in the play ground to do my pull ups and muscle ups. In order to keep them warm and keep them from going numb, I stuff my hands into my pants and press my fingertips and palms onto my thighs. I can do 10 muscle ups; perhaps a few more, as I don't max those out. And here is a video of me doing 36 dead hang pull ups a few weeks ago. for more of my story: http://alobravo.com a http://nealrodriguez.com production
