Thousands take part in Brazilian 'slutwalk'

Thousands of women across Brazil staged colorful, noisy 'slutwalks' on Saturday, May 26. Dubbed the 'Marcha das Vadias' (Bitch walk), the protests drew those who wanted to protest rape, confront macho culture, promote LGBT equality and even stand up for the right to breastfeed in public. A man who taunted marchers in Brasilia, in an area known for street prostitution at night, found himself pelted with fruit and vegetables before he was taken into the care of police.
