2/1/12 - I'm choosing this song to enter in to Scott Alan's "I'm a Star" contest. I feel that this song really shows who I am as a performer.
This is one of my favorite songs. It's hard to do justice to the passion written in to this song by Jason Robert Brown. But, it is one of my favorites, and I had a couple free hours tonight so I couldn't resist the temptation to sing this.

Hello everybody! I'm Marjon, 25 years old, from the Netherlands. I'm following Scott Alan's music for some years now and I was thrilled to hear about the Birdland Concert at the 30th of april because my family and I already had planned our first time visit to NYC then! I bought tickets immediately so I will be in the audience for sure. But... performing there with an original Scott Alan song would be an ab-so-lute-ly amazing!!! I heard some pretty good submissions so even if I don't have any chance, I'm looking forward to hearing that new song live in Birdland :).
Most of the time I sing songs in which I can belt a lot but I decided to do something different this time. My submission is the mix from the Scott Alan songs Always and Goodnight, the way Annalene Beechey recorded it on her album 'Close Your Eyes'. My piano isn't in the shot but thanks to the couple of flaws you can at least hear that I accompany myself on the piano and I'm swaying back and forth for a reason ;).

Hey guys! It has been a while since I last uploaded a video.
IB has started for me so I would have lesser time to do covers and things like that. But that doesn't mean that I will be away forever - I'll just post stuff less frequently. Anyways, this is a cover of Scott Alan's "Behind These Walls". Some of you may not know who he is, but he's a really awesome American singer-music composer!
