Baby Elephants in the Nursery!
by projectnursery 819 views
Baby Emaline's nursery design is not typical of most baby girls' rooms. Instead of pink or lavender, Emaline's mom went with gray and aqua, and the effect is stunning. Key room accents include adorable elephants throughout, a wonderfully stocked book wall and a Ballard Design orb chandelier. This nursery is modern and non-traditional, but the best part is that so much of Emaline's room is homemade. The alphabet wall was crafted by Mom and Dad, and Grandma made the crib bedding, drapes and the elephant mobile and paintings. There's so much love in this room!

See how well Navy works in a girl's nursery!2Navy Blue in the Nursery
by projectnursery 815 views
Project Nursery reader Lisa describes her decorating style as "Traditional with some FUNK!" This aesthetic shows in her baby Charley's nursery. Lisa also loves shopping great deals at Homegoods and Etsy. For Charley's room, she sourced almost exclusively from the two, with a few exceptions of course (who can resist Restoration Hardware furniture?). The truly outstanding feature in Charley's room is the color combo of hot pink and navy. Navy is a neutral to love. It provides fantastic contrast to bright hues like pinks and purples, and it adds a sophistication that a baby can grow into. Well done, Lisa!

Love the use of color here in baby Pearcy's room!4Hot Colors in the Nursery!
by projectnursery 895 views
How do you choose the hottest color for your nursery? We say why choose? Go with a multicolored palette as seen here in baby Pearcy's room. Her parents went bold with bright pink, orange, yellow and turquoise—from the walls and rugs to the accents and furniture, all the way to the closet. Outstanding accents include a huge custom mural and a functioning window bench adorned with colorful pillows including an adorable personalized one courtesy of Grandma. The room features lots of Etsy-sourced items and plenty of DIY touches. Best of all, the walk-in closet is lit by a hot pink chandelier. What could be better?

How to Design a Nursery on a Budget
by projectnursery 1,391 views
How do you get a beautiful nursery on a budget? Go to TJ Maxx, Babies R Us and Wal-Mart just like mom J.L. Moore did. She created a gorgeous room for her baby by sourcing inexpensive items that make a big statement, like decorative poufs and pillows, wall stencil and a chandelier. DIY curtain panels, bedskirt and adorable bird mobile add to the creativity without adding to the budget. Wonderful job!

Hipster Baby Design (Project Nursery)
by projectnursery 1,479 views
Hipster Baby Chic is the theme of Delaney Linn's nursery. A bold chevron wall pattern in gray, aqua, lime green and red is the first "wow" factor you'll notice here, followed by the equally "wow" Pier 1 swinging chair in corresponding trendy colors. Delaney's nursery ceiling is adorned with huge tissue pom poms—a bold and creative statement that is super cheap and easy. Finally, a couple of Moroccan poufs and unique drum side tables finish off this über hip nursery. Well done!

Small Room Done Right with Project Nursery
by projectnursery 11,678 views
We are going to show you how to get the most of a small nursery. Zoe's nursery is a fantastic example. The key in this nursery is choosing the right paint color. This small nursery was painted with pale grey walls. This color not only brightens the room, which makes the room seem larger, but it is also very gender neutral. Not to mention grey can be paired with anything, like a blue rug or bright pink wall art! What do you think of Zoe's nursery? Do you have any suggestions for small spaces? Creating The Nursery Focal Wall with Project Nursery
by projectnursery 6,728 views
This week we are talking about the "Focal Wall" in the nursery. The focal wall is exactly what it sounds like; it's the wall that is the main "focus" of the room, and generally, the crib is against this wall. We have a great example from Ariella's nursery. Her nursery is painted in a calming coral and aqua color scheme. Her focal wall was created with a stencil bought on Etsy.com, which is a great way to save money for you DIY parents out there! Also note the beautiful vintage frames, which she painted and hung on the wall with no picture in them. The frames are the art themselves!

Design Your Baby Nursery with Stripes with Project Nursery
by projectnursery 4,188 views
Stripes are the next big thing in the baby's nursery! And I'm here to show you a beautiful example of how to do it.
Today's example comes from mom and designer, Lindsay Brier, of Anyon Designs, who created a beautiful nursery for her baby, Hawken. Stephanie painted horizontal stripes all throughout the room. Normally, this might feel a little cluttered, but by using light grey and white, she created a clean, subtle and masculine nursery.

Design Challenge! From Basement to Playroom (Project Nursery)

NYC based design duo My Tiny Nest knows that space is limited in the Big Apple. They took on the challenge of turning a dark basement into a bright playroom and wowed us with the results.
Well done!

Plaid is back, and it works in the nursery! Check out baby Topp's nursery in Minnesota. The design style is "updated classic," with a dark navy wall next to a bold, plaid accent wall. Great features include a Pottery Barn Kids crib and glider, the antique gold "R" found on Etsy, charming antlers (that belonged to Dad!), and the dresser and nightstand, which were purchased at Ikea.
