In 2010, 3,111 people were killed in Cuidad Juarez, an extremely dangerous Mexican city just over the border. In the same time period, 2,421 civilians died in the war in Afghanistan. Julie Myers Wood, former head of ICE, says "Mexico's a war zone too" and we're naïve to think that the violence won't spill over the border.
