Ride is stoked to announce another season of the Ride With Us Webisode series! We have a new crew this year made up of Team Riders. Tommy Little of YKWII Media will be following Ride Pro Rider, Austin Hironaka, with his good friends and Ride Regional Riders, Seth Kitzke and John Shaw on their quest for global domination and/or pow turns.
After this season opener, new episodes will launch the first Friday of the month starting in December. So follow the RWU crew on their search for an endless Winter!
Shout out to SixEleven Productions for getting 'Ride With Us' off the ground and running strong last season. Mike Peterson, the main man and filmer behind SixEleven, went back to school and couldn't shoot season 2. Look for the SixEleven crew to make appearances in RWU episodes this season.

So we got a little impatient waiting for snow in Washington so decided to road trip down to Mammoth Mountain for opening day. On our way down we thought it would be fun to take a pit stop and ride Boreal for a few days to get some early season shots, while working out all the kinks before Mammoth opening day. After riding Boreal for 2 full days, we headed to Mammoth to meet up with Ride regional rider Chuck Evans. We rode three great days at Mammoth and got to party with Chuck for the opening day festival. As soon as we woke up the next morning we headed north to Portland to meet up with Brian Fox and pick up Hironaka's first snowmobile. Once we got Hiro's sled, we drove up to Mt. Baker for a super deep opening day.

The RWU crew experienced an unusual month, which consisted of high temperatures and mass volumes of rain. Instead of traveling anywhere we decided to stay home and film what we could in our own backyard. On our first sled mission of the year, we found a wall ride at the top of a mountain and had a rad time getting all urban in the backcountry.
A few days later we saddled up the sleds and headed into the backcountry again to create a wooden pole jam. Once we found the right tree we cut it down with spoons then jibbed it all day. Later that day after we were all rested up from the pole jam, we headed up to Crystal Mountain to film some rail goodness. 2011 has come to a close, and we hope everyone has a snowy 2012!

While myself and the crew continued to wait for La Nina to come back, we loaded up the sleds and made the journey to Mt. Baker in search of some freshies. We were able to session some super fun natural hits up high on the volcano and even send the sleds off some hits as well.
Soon after, La Nina came back in a BIG way, burying the whole state of Washington in that fluffy stuff. While Kitzke made use of the snow that shut down the cities, myself, Shaw, and Hiro made a trip up to Red Mountain in Rossland, British Colombia to meet up with the likes of Hana Beaman, Brennen Swanson, Megan Ginter, and Todd Kirby. While up in beautiful British Colombia, we found some nipple deep pow along with some fun urban spots. Thanks to our super rad guide, Canadian Mike (a.k.a. Mike Cole), the crew had a blast and even came home with a few new tricks up their sleeves!
Meanwhile the snow is still coming down here in the Pacific Northwest, so I'm gonna stop writing about this episode, go pack my gear and get ready to stack tomorrow in the backcountry!

With not much going on in the Northwest the RWU crew jumped in the car and drove East to Cook City, MT to meet up with Todd Kirby and friends. Soon upon arrival in "kook city" came large volumes of snow! After about 5 hours there were already 7-8 inches on the ground, so we headed up the hill and built 2 jumps to have them ready when the weather cleared. Once the jumps where built we just explored the area and kept going back to the jumps to make sure no one high marked the landing. Well luckily enough at the same exact time that the sun came out, 2 snowboarders and a sledneck put tracks in both of the jump landings, subsequently ending the trip... When we got home we decided it would be best just to board in our backyard, "Ski Acres".

This month the Ride With Us crew decided to stay in their home state of Washington to get after the record snowfall this March. Before the snow started to really come down, we decided to film a park edit at our home mountain "Ski Acres", but 3 laps into the day, local pro and Ride With Us crew leader Austin Hironaka took a big spill and it took him out for the rest of the month. With the crew being narrowed down John Shaw, and Seth Kitzke stepped up and took on the roll, putting down some big tricks in the park and the pow. This episode is to show everyone how wonderful the state of Washington real is. The month of march is unreal up here, you have the option to ride park or powder almost everyday. So here it is episode 6 "March Madness", enjoy. -TL

So with the season winding down we decided to take a trip and visit the land of the rising sun to compete in the "Holy Bowly". We got out there and we had to immediately deal with some stupid drama; first off the jam almost was cancelled, and then the weather decided it was not going to cooperate with us. We where supposed to ride 6 days, but due to rain only got to see 2 days on the hill and the rest was in the city being tourist. This episode does not have the most snowboarding in it, but it is defiantly entertaining to watch, so kick back and get your popcorn and enjoy the last episode of Season 2.
