Fighting in Syria intensifies as troops advance

As the fighting intensifies in Syria, rebel commanders have said that they need more weapons if they are to overcome government forces. One of most senior generals in the Free Syrian Army also said that promised foreign military aid has not materialised. Cities across Syria have seen a marked increase in fighting in recent days.
