Lincoln and New York Teen Audio Tour

High school interns at the New-York Historical Society helped create an audio tour to accompany the landmark exhibition Lincoln and New York running through March 25, 2010. The exhibit explores New Yorks complex relationship with one of Americas most beloved leaders. The audio tour allows history lovers of all ages to listen in on the New York of Lincolns time as they examine the documents, photographs, paintings and artifacts that tell this tale. Listen to the crowd at Cooper Union as you stand behind the lectern where Lincoln delivered the speech that propelled him towards the presidency, learn the story of the first Union officer killed in the Civil War as you look through the bullet hole in his uniform, and hear an eyewitness account of the Draft Riots from a 15-year old whose home was under attack.
