Protesters target AIPAC on fears of Iran attack

Protesters rallied against a possible military strike against Iran as Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu traveled to Washington DC, on Monday, for talks with US president Barack Obama. Speaking to powerful pro-Israel lobby group the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, Netanyahu said diplomacy and sanctions had failed to get Iran to halt its nuclear programme. Other recent meetings organised by AIPAC have been disrupted by the Occupy AIPAC movement, on fears that America could be drawn into a war on Iran. GOP presidental candidates Mitt Romney, Rick Santorum and Newt Gingrich have also weighed in on the subject of potential attacks on Iran.
