The Gumball 3000 Rally is an event of epic proportions, one that many people would love to be a part of - including this Ferrari 360 Spider owner who rocked up with the car wearing a wrap not-too-dissimilar from one of a Gumball car except to the aware eyes of many fans it features different sticker sets, sponsors, numbers and of course isn't on the list of entrants.

On the journey from Kansas City to Santa Fe, Team Habibeez were driving fairly close to the back of the pack and as such rarely came across other cars until we stumbled by coincidence into this group of 12 cars taking a lunch break in a rather remote location in Kansas state! For the final leg of the 2012 Gumball 3000 rally, Team Habibeez decided to leave Las Vegas much later than the other Gumballers for the journey to Los Angeles and as such I decided to rent a car to take over Death Valley (a much longer route, but more interesting than the Interstate). The car in question is the 323hp Chevrolet Camaro Convertible V6, very traditional American car to use in California over the coming week also.

As a result we drove this incredible road, and I put a GoPro on the front to enjoy the view. See some spectacular scenery in one of the hottest places on earth; temperatures reached 54 degrees C (129F) during this drive!

Habibeez Phantom Drophead suffers a Blowout

In the desert of New Mexico, between Sante Fe and Las Vegas, Habibeez #01, the Rolls Royce Phantom Drophead suffered a shredded tyre leaving no option but to pop it onto a trailer and have it sent on to Las Vegas to be repaired in time for the last leg along to Los Angeles.

As you can see the rear-left tyre was shredded to pieces, being in the Ghost following beforehand the bits threw up all over the road but sadly I was filming to the rear at the time so didn't catch the moment it happened.

When the trailer arrived, as you can see the car barely fit onto it and only after a lot of slow movements did it eventually rest on the back with mere millimetres to either side.
