Dwayne Carter, better known as hip-hop superstar Lil Wayne, is currently behind bars, serving a year-long sentence in Rikers Island jail in New York for possession of a loaded gun. The weapon in question was found on his tour bus. This small fact however has done nothing to deter his appearance on a fantastic new record called That Money he made together with Dutch DJ Irwan.
Rappers as a rule generally arent the types to let external circumstances dictate whether or not they are making music. Both Notorious B.I.G and Tupac have continued to have illustrious and profitable (for someone) careers from beyond the grave, which makes something as minor as a custodial prison sentence seem almost trivial by comparison.
Besides these criminal facts Lil Wayne was the best selling artist of 2008 in the States, his album Tha Carter III sold 1 million copies in one week. The first three singles released from the album, Lollipop, A Milli, and Got Money all achieved Top 10 success on the Billboard Hot 100. The track Lollipop been hit more than 10 million downloads.

With her own sound which encompasses both melodic and dark hardstyle, she is ready to compete with the big ones. Now that Dailucia has hooked up with some of the best producers around, she is also working very hard to create her own tracks. Her first EP Music Over Mind was released in the spring of 2009, her second EP Sonar was released not much later. Deniz Koyu is without doubt one of the most promising talents to watch out for in 2010. His course to become a musician was set at the tender age of five when he began to learn the piano. It didn't take long until he discovered his enthusiasm for synthesizers and drums, getting inspiration from artists such as Depeche Mode, Daft Punk, Kraftwerk or Cassius. It is no surprise he followed suit, spending his pocket money on all the second-hand synths and drum machines he could find. Through his teenage years, Deniz spent his days DJing and editing his favourite tracks using small tape recorders and sampling what he could.
His first remix was for Atrocite "Only You" which became an instant success, keeping its position in the top ten of the German dance charts for a staggering nine weeks. Today, after three single releases and countless remixes for acts such as Culcha Candela, Morandi or Supafly Inc, he is well known in the international house club scene. His remix for Niels Van Gogh "Dreamer" was another success, going straight into the German Dance Charts at #3!
His latest single release "What We Are" has evolved into a big house anthem in the clubs around the globe with playlist and chart support from Laidback Luke, Avicii, D.O.N.S., Michael Woods, Kim Fai and Denis The Menace to name but a few. -
