Two of the finest PlayStation 2 titles I know of were created by the same team. Both Shadow of the Colossus and Ico were crafted by the creative minds at Team Ico, a group that is slow to release games, but makes masterpieces each time. I hold both in such high regard that I've been known to force people to play them. One friend of mine in particular came to my city for a short visit not too long ago. I insisted that he play Shadow of the Colossus, and I monitored his progress throughout, clearly stating that he was forbidden from doing anything else until he completed what I consider to be one of my favorite games of all time. If he didn't love it, at least he knew better than to tell me otherwise. (Dale North)

The N64 is my least favorite console of all time, but I still feel the need to own one, mostly for Star Fox 64. It's easily one of my favorite games on the console, way ahead of Super Mario 64 and Ocarina of Time. That's partly because those two titles were 3D adaptations (and in some ways, deformations) of already near-perfect 2D experiences I'd grown to love on the SNES. (Jonathan Holmes)

On September 1st, 3DS owners who are part of Nintendo's Ambassador program will be able to download the first batch of ten games. In the original announcement, we learned of five NES games that would be made available: Super Mario Bros., Donkey Kong Jr., Balloon Fight, Ice Climber, and The Legend of Zelda. According to this tweet by Nintendo of America, we can add Metroid, NES Open Tournament Golf, Wrecking Crew, Yoshi, and Zelda II: The Adventure of Link to that list. Yup, sounds about right. I didn't need all that much to convince me that Lollipop Chainsaw was a game after my own heart. But after seeing this trailer, I'm completely sold. Lollipop Chainsaw tells the tale of Juliet Starling, a zombie hunting cheerleader who has to fend off an undead outbreak that's overrun her school. Stupid? Certainly. Sony just announced a price drop for the PS3 across the board, in all territories worldwide, at the very end of their gamescom press conference today. Saints Row The Third New Freefalling Gameplay Video

THQ has released the above video for Saints Row: The Third which takes you through the game's second mission, "Freefalling." The Saints have been taken captive by The Syndicate aboard a luxury jet following the heroes' recent bank heist and the conversation is less than friendly. Once the bullets start flying, the player has to make their way through to the back of the plane and jump out with a chute. Then there's a bit of backtracking which, while normally loathsome, is handled with impressive style. You'll see what I mean. (Conrad Zimmerman)

A lot fans are excited about the next chapter in the Elder Scrolls series but I doubt there are many that can claim a level of enthusiasm that sends them into labor. Unless you happen to be Stevi, who was with her fiancee for the Skyrim presentation yesterday when she began experiencing labor pains. Bethesda has lodged a complaint with Swedish courts against Minecraft creator Mojang over a trademark filing earlier this year. The trademark is for the title, "Scrolls," which Bethesda feels is an infringement on their trademark for, "The Elder Scrolls." Arkham City Interview: WiiU, Catwoman, and Riddler Details!
