Morsi supporters celebrate after Egyptian elections

Mohammed Morsi, the Muslim Brotherhood candidate in Egypt's presidential elections, was named as the country's new president on June 24 following a long delay in the announcement of results by the Supreme Presidential Electoral Commission (SPEC). Morsi received 52 per cent of the vote, enough to make him the country's first post-Mubarak president.
