All human activity involves investment and risk taking, of time and capital. Individuals decide for themselves, based on their goals and their understanding of reality, how to invest. Individuals can invest by themselves or in cooperation with thousands in the market. Private property provides the boundaries of where individuals perceive to be better off, by extending trading and sharing and withholding. The market is a conglomerate (the effect) of billions of individuals improving their lives. -
