BREAKING: Al-Houla Massacre, Syria

SYRIA, May 25, 2012 - At least 116 people were killed during Friday's attack by Syrian security forces on Houla, a town in the Homs province, according to the United Nations observer mission to Syria UNSMIS. The victims reportedly included at least 32 children. Activists said armed forces shelled the town, before "armed militias slaughtered entire families in cold blood". The attacks come as UN observers are visiting the country to assess the security situation.
