How to Make Soap from Scratch- Cold Process

In this week's tutorial I show you how to make your own handmade soap from scratch! It's not difficult and can easily be made using just 4 ingredients- canola oil, olive oil, water, and sodium hydroxide (lye). I came up with this recipe myself and it does not include any fragrances or colors. I wanted to keep it nice and simple for you guys.
This is just an introduction to soapmaking. If you want to take it a step further I recommend you do your research and learn as much about soapmaking as you can because there are a lot of different factors that play a role in the chemical process that is creating soap.

In this video tutorial I show you how to repurpose or reimagine some regular grocery store plastic bags into something functional and practical-- a wallet!
I walk you through step-by-step how to fuse the plastic bags together to create a tri fold wallet complete with 4 card pockets, 1 ID pocket and a full bill compartment.
Supplies needed:
3 plastic bags for wallet body
1 plastic bag for pockets
rotary cutter +mat or scissors
rulers
Iron- with a dry setting
manila folder
few sheets of plain white paper
sewing machine + thread
velcro dots (optional)

Our Baby Girl is finally here!

Just wanted to let you all know that we finally welcomed our baby girl, Allie Reina, this past weekend. We had an all natural delivery (again!) and everything went smoothly. We are both at home spending time with her big brother, Juice and my hubby.
She was born on 9/24/11 at 1:06 am. Weight: 8 lbs 15 oz. Length: 21.5" long
Thank you for all your thoughts, prayers, emails, and gifts. We really appreciate it!
