This is the opening song of the album, which is a concept piece about an alien invasion of earth. The song itself describes a person seeing an attractive female - he becomes anxious and wants to run away from his feelings but he can't forget her. Then they are both abducted by the aliens.
The imaginative (for the time) video broke the band in the US during the early days of MTV. The video showed the lead singer Mike Score sporting a distinctive hairstyle resembling a seagull in flight. He is in a room covered from floor to ceiling with aluminum foil and also floor mirrors in which you can see the reflection of the cameras.This was A Flock Of Seagulls biggest hit in the US, but in the UK they enjoyed a bigger hit with "Wishing (If I Had A Photograph Of You)," which reached #10.
A portion of the song was used as the opening for the cartoon Knights of the Zodiac.
Although considered an 80's New Wave classic, the song experienced somewhat of a revival in 2002 as the signature theme for the video game Grand Theft Auto: Vice City; being played during the game's television commercials and during gameplay as one of the songs in the playlist for radio station Wave 103.
Some ridicules trivia:
Many people have joked about the way Mike Score was playing keyboard in the video. There are some inconsistencies with the video and how the song was actually played. The keyboard we see in the video is a Roland SH-09 synthesizer. At some points, Score is seen playing chords (more than one key pressed) on the keyboard, when the SH-09 is monophonic (only one key can be played at a time). The RS-09 was not used on this track, despite being in the video. The playing style is just for show. The ridiculous one-finger theatrics that can be seen for most of the video are of course also just for show, but he appears to be pressing some of the correct note(s). The gear Mike Score used in reality were a Korg MS-10 and a Korg Delta. The MS-10 (monophonic) was used for the low, droning sounds in the background, and the Delta was used for the higher, string-like sounds that are heard near the beginning of the song. -

Q1 - Are there any tabs for this?
A1 - It's quite simple, the chords are Em, D, G and A. You just have to figure out their places, hehe.
Q2 - What software did you use to create this video?
A2 - Well, I used Fruity Loops and Adobe Audition to create the song, and the visual part was done using Photoshop, After Effects and Premiere, as usual.
Q3 - How the hell do you pronounce 'Majami Hiroz'? ...and why that way?
A3 - It "should be" pronounced as 'miami heroes' . When you write down the term 'miami heroes' using Hungarian phonetics, it becomes 'májámi híróz'. This was merely a way of coming up with a channel name which doesn't really mean anything but looks cool and unique.
Q4 - What will be the next 'C64 Version' video about?
A4 - L. A. Noire, most likely.
Q5 - What happened to Tony Montana and Arnie?
A5 - They're plotting their return. It might be quite close.

DISCLAIMER: There is no single "Download Link" for this mod. It's a HEAVILY CUSTOMIZED PC project from a die-hard BTTF and GTA fan. It took me months to tweak everything and finally get it working right but I couldn't have done it without the help of some truly great mod makers (credits/links below). One take in this sequence is a 2 minutes and 40 second tracking shot following 2 men shooting up a hospital while delivering great performances in-between the action.
Remember, this was done without post processing effects. John Woo manually slowed down and sped up the camera while they were rolling. There are no computer animated ballistics. Furthermore, the take was tried 6 times and failed 6 times. It was also supposed to be twice as long. That means all the ballistics had to be reset each time. Tony Leung, the actor in the cop suit, eventually took some ballistics to his eye and filming was stopped. In the last scene of the movie, you can see his real eye injury, no make up.
On the commentary, John Woo said the one-take idea was done because of low morale amongst the cast and crew. When he told everyone what he wanted to do, it gave everyone something to look forward to and be excited about. From then on, it was gravy until Tony's injury. -
