Like so many days if you live long enough, you stop and remember where you where when something happened. When someone passed. When a wonderful or sad event occurred.
I remember so well the day That JFK Jr passed partly because it was my Mother's Birthday and partly because I had preminitsions for over a week something terrible was going to occur!
When I came down stairs that morning to have coffee with my Mother she had a very strange look on he face.
She knew what my reaction would be. Devastation!
Slowly she told me, "John Kennedy Jr.'s plane is missing...
then even slower it seems;
she said they think he might be dead!"

I don't know how long it took me to respond to her words or the news ...and I can't remember when I began to cry.. but as when Elvis died; I cried for months even years on end!

I ask my boss if I could get off and go to Washington DC.
I was sure they would bury him with his parents.

So my son and I went to Washington. I saw President Clinton leave for the memorial in New York; and by that time we knew he had been found at sea and was to be buried at sea.
So we went and placed red Roses on President and Mrs. Kennedy's grave in Arlington National Cematery.

Other then losing Elvis Presley and 9-11; this one one of the saddest days of my life!

I just always felt so close to him...I will always remember doing that !
And always remember my Darling son who took such great care of me at that time!

I can't believe it has been 10 yrs already. I still miss what might have been..
Dear John & Carolyn and Ms. Bessette I know you are at rest and happy now , I'll miss you always!

As I listened I remembered this is a song I use to sing all over Ohio & KY; and the Sounthern States years ago.
It was one of the favories that we sang in the triio we had in those yrs. We never sang it like Elvis does here;
But it brought those happy days alive again as ONLY Elvis can and always does!!
