It is, in reality, B.S.. Numerous early Christians claimed their gospels to false lies. The Council of Nicea evaluated the history of the books that were to be put in the Bible, and the gnostic gospels were declared heresy. They were written to late to have contact with Jesus or were famously known for bing written by a mere man. This was well known, and also, why do the canonical gospels potray so different messages? It's been proven that the canonical gospels potray the same message that they did in the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th centuries, so why are they so different from the gnostic one? Because the gnostic gospels are misguiding lies. The one Dan Brown quoted in the Davinci code (Gospel of Mary Magdalene) was written about 240 yrs after Christ's death and Resurrection.
