This channel is an expression of parapraxis. When the spoken word does not match what you intended to say, it's referred to as a Freudian slip. When 'slips' happen with memory, it's called a senior moment or a brain fart. When miss matches occur in physical actions; such as when you say 'yes' and your head is moving back and forth indicating 'no', the person is said to be distracted. Popular theories aside, this type of event is related to the unconscious mind as it attempts to present real truth.
Sometimes obvious; mostly subtle, human unconscious messages can be found through backward masked message analysis. It takes years of patience and practice to understand this phenom. There are many disagreements about where these messages come from; ranging from 'it's all a fake' to 'crazy' to 'OMG, I was really thinking that thought while I was talking'. I find the messages fascinating and bizarre; as when ancient and mystical or metaphysical phrases can be heard. Often in the context where these mysteries are discovered, they are profound.
