This song was written mainly in memory of Eric Waters, who was a gunner in WWII. Pink Floyd always seemed to be able to take shots at the record industry. Regardless, this is a great tune. Obscured By Clouds has become my fav PF album!

Mick Taylor rocked the Stones..So much great guitar work from him...then they f**cked him over by cutting him out of his royalties starting in 1981!

Yea and in 1981 the Stones managed to find a loop hole in Mick Taylors contract and stopped paying him royalties....Last I heard Mick Taylor was living in squallor in London facing disconnect notices and forclosure...I love the Stones but hate Mick and Keith sometimes...

I believe both Janet Lawson and Anna Wholin when they said Frank Thorgood and Brian were alone by the pool right before Brian Died. Tom Keylock was placed to watch over Brian by Stones management. I too don't care about politics when it comes to music. If I used the political beliefs as a determining factor whether I like the artist or not...i wouldn't have any favorite artists..

Great album.....I read Keith's book and found it lacked details. Bill Wyman's, "Stone Alone," was much more objective...I love the Stones and am a fan of Keith's but when it comes to his sour attitude towards Brian he needs to remember , "No Jones, No Stones!"

David Bowie once remarked, "The Kinks are the best thing out of England since the Rolling Stones." I must agree. I remember a stretch from 1979 to 1982 I saw the Kinks like 5 times in a row as the toured each time during that period. Just awesome. The Kinks ROCK!
