Question:
Since there are so many people who have issues with the Practice of Animal Libations in this Modern Day and, Age then how does one look upon the Magickal Practices of say people who practice Santeria? In Santeria a Animal Sacrifice is made to the Gods for the purposes of spiritual and, ritual cleansing and, banishment; By the way the animal of choice used is usually a farm raised domestic chicken. Ironicly its The chicken's feathers and, body that are Spiritually and Physically cleansed after intial use in the ceremony; So as not to be wasteful, the practioners cook and, devour the chicken's body after the ceremony. Furthermore, they all-so reuse the chicken's other body parts such as the head and, the legs which are snapped durring the banishing and, cleansing rite; The remaining body parts being the Head and, Legs are used at another time in other ceremonies of Santeria. |
