I am an art instructor, painting workshop instructor, and paint from life; more often than not outdoors on location popularly called, "plein air" I live in the Nicolet National Forest in NE Wisconsin.

Interests and Hobbies: besides painting, I write and perform music, play guitar...blues harmonica, record in my own music recording studio. I love to be outdoors. I'm also busy as a moderator for a number of forums for the very popular Wetcanvas.com artist's community, often critiquing and help artists.
Movies and Shows: I am very much a history buff...enjoying epics on large screen. My favorite movie will be whatever the next one is I MUST see! As for shows...I'd have to say Les Miserables...
Music: Have performed blues and various forms of old school rock styles most my life, but for the past number of years now I've been under the influence of the modern acoustic instrumentalist masters such as Antoine Dufour, Andy McKee, Andrew White...etc.,
Books: the Word...apologetics, ethics and worldview, and many books on painting. My favorites along those are John F. Carlson, Richard Schmid, Emile A. Gruppe and Edgar Payne's Composition of Outdoor Painting
