besides painting, I write and perform music, play guitar...blues harmonica, record in my own music recording studio. I love to be outdoors. I'm also busy as a moderator for a number of forums for the very popular Wetcanvas.com artist's community, often critiquing and help artists.
Movies:
I am very much a history buff...enjoying epics on large screen. My favorite movie will be whatever the next one is I MUST see! As for shows...I'd have to say Les Miserables...
Music:
Have performed blues and various forms of old school rock styles most my life, but for the past number of years now I've been under the influence of the modern acoustic instrumentalist masters such as Antoine Dufour, Andy McKee, Andrew White...etc.,
Books:
the Word...apologetics, ethics and worldview, and many books on painting. My favorites along those are John F. Carlson, Richard Schmid, Emile A. Gruppe and Edgar Payne's Composition of Outdoor Painting

As a watercolorist, this type of alla prima oil painting really appeals to me. Originally trained in illustration, I constantly have to remind myself to stay loose. Love your stroke counting video and really enjoy your music, guitar playing and singing voice! In the basement, lying fallow for a couple of years, I'm going to liberate my oil paints today. Thanks for the inspiration, Larry. You rock Brotha!

This is something that I want to see more of. Loved the ala prima empty tube. Very enlightning, specially the counting. Makes a lot of sense.
