How did you get the impression that the poem is a pray to God? It is a simple ghazal carrying the mystic theme.

This mystic poem pertaining to Punjabi folk romance, Sohni Mahinwal written by a poet of Jalandhar, Sadar Din who migrated to Pakistan in 1947, spent his last years of life in Rawalpindi where he died in 80s. Yasser N

Literary beauty of this na'at is its radeef. Poet of this na'at was given the line, Sallu Alaihe wa Aalehi by the composer, Khawaja Khushid Anwar as a challenge to write Tazmeen over it .
