This is a video of the race. The rules were: Teams of 2 people have to carry a full crate of beer (20 bottles of 0,5 Liter per crate) from the Deutsches Museum along the Isar River to the Thalkirchen Bridge (about 5km distance) and the winner is the Team that arrives first, however all the beer in the Team´s crate must be drunk by the 2 persons in the team before arriving (so that is 5 Liters of Beer in the sun within just over an hour and running the whole stretch). I can tell you, it isn´t easy and there were several pools of puke on the way. Enjoy the pictures!! Mario and Munk won the race, best female team was Nina and Julia. Bierkistenrennen in München an der Isar am 21. Juni 2008:
Video der Bierkistenrennen. Die Regeln: 2 Leute, eine Kiste Bier (20 Flaschen zu 0,5 Liter) vom Deutschen Museum der Isar entlang, bis zur Thalkirchner Brücke (ca. 5 km). Die Gewinner sind die, die als erstes am Ziel ankommen jedoch mit ausgetrunkener Bierkiste (also 5 Liter pro Person in der prallen Sonne). Es gab einige "Kotzflecken" auf den Weg. Munk und Mario haben gewonnen. Beste weibliche Mannschaft war Nina und Julia. Viel Spaß beim Video schauen.
